Native to the Philippines and parts of southern China, Calamondin produces small, tart, juicy oranges perfect for preserves, marinades and other sweet recipes. But even without the fruit, this plant has plenty of perks. Attractive, glossy foliage will be joined throughout the year by waxy, white blossoms that give off a heavenly fragrance. In warm weather, you can set your tree outside to soak up the rays and to let nature's pollinators do their thing. Then find a sunny indoor spot to wait out the long winter. Pollination by hand is recommended if tree is kept indoors year round. Citrus trees take several years to mature and bear fruit, but your patience will be rewarded. If gifting, make sure pet owners know that the oil found in the leaves and fruits is toxic to their furry friends if consumed. Ships in a 4" nursery pot. Citrus x citrofortunella mitis
