Beautiful!

This was a gift from my sister's mother-in-law. I'd never had one before - this was so fun to watch grow and is still blooming. One stalk grew & bloomed a little faster than the other but it prolonged the beauty. A few days before the first 4 blooms started to winter, the other 5 started to bloom.

Very disappointed. I bought it for a Christmas gift for my sister. It didn't bloom until last week in February One bulb grew 24 inches one bulb grew 2-1/2 ft. And one bulb about 18". One had 4 flowers, one had 3 flowers and one had 2 flowers Did not look like one in your brochure!!

The picture shown (as above) is spectacular! Unfortunately, in reality, the flowers are much taller and lean even with metal supports and open one or two at a time as opposed to all at the same time, which I would have preferred. Also, the red picotee edge was not on most of the flowers, so it was mainly a plain white flower.

When my package arrived the bulbs had fallen out of the planter and a lot of the soil! I put it back together, then I started watering the bulbs as instructed! It seem forever before any foliage appeared and I finally got blooms in January! I was quite disappointed that there was hardly any red on the flowers edges and I know I will not get the Picotee again! I have always had the red and they have a lot more wow factor!

My Picotee Amaryllis had huge blooms on all of the stalks. All I did was water the plant lightly about once a week. It grew to about 2 feet tall with these beautiful white blooms tipped in red.

My Picotee Amaryllis does not look much like the one pictured in the catalog or online. My blossoms have barely any red around the edges, and my plant is quite tall and lanky. It took two months to bloom; I'm not sure whether that bloom time is typical. I also ordered a wax covered amaryllis bulb from Brecks at the same time. The waxed bulb was a different variety than the Picotee - it was very beautiful, shorter, and more dense with flowers.
