My New Christmas Tradition

This is my 2nd year of ordering Amaryllis for Christmas. The first year I received them as a gift. I loved and enjoyed them so much I purchased my own the following year. This year I ordered 2. One for me and one to give away.
I enjoyed watching the growing process and now as we are in March, the leaves are still fresh and green.
I also replanted my bulbs from the previous year.

The Colossal Benfica Amaryllis are a deep rich burgundy. I got the triple and started it in December. It bloomed for many weeks. All Brecks bulbs are large and top quality

The size and color of these blossoms were just spectacular. I started the plants in a bedroom with good light and then moved them to the living room when two of the stalks were in full bloom. From then on, they were the center of attention. I sent my sister in Seattle a pot of Elvas at the same time, and her plants have just burst into bloom this week, to her delight. Breck's is the best!
