Dutch Kiss Bulb Garden

The 'White Pearl' hyacinth bloomed first. I enjoyed the pleasant fragrance for several days. The crocuses were next, and then the white tulips and then the red tulips. I think the red tulips were slightly fragrant, with a nice, light scent. Something smelled nice a couple of weeks after the hyacinth went by, anyway. I think some of the flowers went by more quickly than they might have if they had been kept at a steadily cooler temperature. But where they were, heat was coming from below. I took the pot inside the metal pot, the one with drainage holes, out when I watered the plants. I put a saucer underneath and let the water drain out. I didn't leave them sitting in the water, though. Once the pot had thoroughly drained, I patted the bottom of the pot day with a paper towel, and put it back on the piece of plastic that I was using to protect the metal pot. (It may have been the lid from a container, but it fit perfectly into the metal pot.) I enjoyed this indoor bulb garden's flowers while the weather was dreary outside. I'll plant the bulbs in the spring and see if they have flowers in the spring of 2914.
