The easiest plant you'll ever grow!
Just a little light is all our Waxed Amaryllis need to grow. These jumbo 28-30 cm bulbs are carefully coated in protective wax that seals in all the moisture and energy needed to grow. Simply sit them in a well-lit spot and wait for the magic to begin. Within 4-6 weeks, each bulb produces 1-2 stems with 4-5 brilliant red blooms per stem—no staking required! Due to the waxing process, these bulbs will not rebloom next year like other Amaryllis Lovers gifts.

I ordered two waxed amaryllis as a birthday gift in December. The gold one bloomed twice (to the delight of my mother). The red one was a complete dud. I contacted customer support, but since it was outside the 60 day guarantee, I was issued half store credit.

I received this as a gift on several occasions and it bloomed wonderfully...I purchased 6 for gifts this past Christmas and they are not blooming well at all...I am very disappointed and have had to apologize for them not being a good quality especially for the price I paid for them.

Having purchased these for many years now with much satisfaction, sad to say that this year of the 16 I ordered for myself and gifts, all have been absolute failures. No growth whatsoever in well over a month. In seeking recourse from Brecks gifts, I was told to make sure they get water and sunlight. For certain this is the last order i will make from Breck's Gifts. Not only a disappointment, but embarrassing to those I gave as gifts.

I bought 4 of these over the holidays. One Christmas gift, two hostess gifts, and one for me. Three of the 4 bloomed beautifully. One was a dud - two green shoots but no buds or blooms. Fortunately, I got the dud. I would have been upset if one of the gifts was a failure. So, if you are willing to chance it, this could be beautiful.

I purchased two of these red wax bulbs for Christmas gifts this year. My family has enjoyed them so much! The blooms had four flowers. Then, a surprise . . . just before she was ready to throw the bulb away, there was another stalk that started growing and produced another four beautiful flowers! My aunt and mother said it's the best gift they ever received! They said to tell everyone to keep the bulb because it will bloom again! I am so happy with my purchase!

The waxed bulbs bloomed well. When they finished blooming,I peeled the wax off and set bulbs in saucers of water. When they sprouted roots I planted them in pots. Got a second round of bloom and they are still alive. Got my money's worth!

I really love the waxed bulb amaryllis idea. I gift them at the holiday and keep some for myself as well. Last year they bloomed and were tall and produced beautiful bloom. This year they are not as tall though those that bloomed, bloomed well. However, I have a couple that are very short and have not bloomed at all as of this writing.

This year I ordered four waxed amaryllis bulbs. Two of them bloomed beautifully with two stalks, each sporting four blossoms. I did not hear a report from the person who received the third one as a gift. Unfortunately, the fourth one never bloomed at all. It shot up leaves, but no blossom stalk. This has never happened before as I have always had excellent luck with amaryllis from Breck's.

I'm sorry to say that my waxed amaryllis bloomed on one side only with a bloom that was sickly looking. The other two blooms died without them opening. I still am hopeful that something will happen with the bulb. I would appreciate someone text me to let me know what I can do.

I received a waxed amaryllis plant last Christmas and it was magical to watch the shoots sprout and the many blooms sprout lasting 8-12 weeks. Not this current amaryllis plant. The stems had already begun to grow in the box. The blooms came in two days, died in 24 hours. I could not capture a picture of the different stages due to the rapid blooming. The new stem looks dry and it doesn't look healthy. Hope it was an isolated case.
